Our Berlin subsidiary has enjoyed solid growth since it was acquired by GROUPE GRAND COMPTOIR, and its teams continue to expand and organise, with an emphasis on the electronic access control department. Following the acquisition of a company specialising in access control in 2023, WPLUSM is now SALTO’s largest partner in the Berlin/Brandenburg region.

Ambition

WPLUSM has a clear ambition for 2030: to surpass €10 million in turnover, to evolve from a small to a medium-sized business, and to transform its business model to become a specialist distributor integrating new services such as after-sales service for access control, alarms and video surveillance.

History of WPLUSM

1992

W+M Weissensee Metallwaren GmbH was founded, originating from VEB Druckguss und Formenbau Berlin-Weißensee. Specialization: sales of colored key-bitted keys for East German doors.

2011

Change of management: Thomas König became the new managing director. Diversification of the product range and business growth.

2013

W+M was acquired by the Grand Comptoir Group and integrated into the group.

2016

Launch of the patented Easyblind product, an innovation in the field of locking solutions.

2023

Acquisition of SSM (security and locksmith services).
Strengthening of the “Access” team to support new needs for modern solutions.

2024

Movement to new offices.
Creation of a work environment conducive to innovation and growth.

W+M is a recognized company in the security equipment trade.
Its innovative offering and adaptability ensure its leading position in the market.
